Local market broadcast or cablecast commercials, promos, programs, or announcements for airing in North America or any single country worldwide
(network broadcast usage - national or international - requires a license upgrade)
Non-broadcast video/film/multimedia or web-based productions
Computer-generated displays, games or interactive programs
Distribution (CD, CD-ROM, DVD, or similiar) limited to 3,000 units per production
Audio or video on websites, podcasts, YouTube or similar
Music-on-hold limited to 10 locations per production (includes performance rights)

Q: What is a Lifetime Blanket License?
A: Also referred to as a "Buyout" or "Royalty-Free", a lifetime blanket license equips you CDs or a library and grants a "blanket" right to synchronize music as often as you like in an unlimited number of productions for a lifetime period of 99 years.
By contrast, a "Per Usage" license (aka: "neeedle-drop") only grants usage rights each time you use a music track per production. A usage form must be completed and a fee paid each time you use music.
By contrast, an "Annual Blanket" license (aka: "lease") grants blanket usage rights for a 1-3 year term.

Q: Does "Lifetime Blanket (Buy-out/Royalty-Free)" mean that I own the music?
A: No, what you are "buying-out" is not the music, but a lifetime LICENSE to use the music in your productions without additional cost or obligation.
The underlying copyright is still retained by the production music library publisher. The individual music themes and recordings themselves may never be copied or transferred for the purpose of resale or distribution unless a special mechanical reproduction license is obtained.

Q: Does your "Lifetime Blanket License" include performance rights?
A: No, our standard lifetime blanket/royalty-free license is a synchronization-only license. You must obtain performance rights separately from us, or make sure that a license is in place from a performance rights organization (USA: ASCAP, BMI, and/or SESAC). Most radio, TV, and cable stations have such a license in place, but a small percentage of broadcasters do not. You may optionally purchase from us a separate "direct performance license" for usage of our music on such stations or channels.

Q: Do I get updates with a "Lifetime Blanket License? "
A: No, CD updates are not included (see optional annual blanket license). However you are entitled to receive a special customer discount on future purchases including new CD releases. Additionally, we do have special "lease-to-own" plans which include updates.
